Gospel-Centered If the Truly Free School is “gospel-centered”, it begs the question: what is the gospel? To summarize, the gospel (or “good news”) is the truth that God has made a way for all people to be reconciled to Himself and with each other, through faith in the perfect life, substitutionary death, and victorious resurrection of the God-man, Jesus Christ.  More than merely a fact, the gospel of Jesus constitutes a metafact, a foundational reality that is the context within which all other reality is experienced and interpreted.  What this means is that the Gospel is not just a subject to be taught, but is the basis for understanding any subject; that the Gospel is not just a description of a relationship that has been restored, but is the ground for experiencing any relational unity; that the Gospel does not just set us free, but is the principle underlying any conception of freedom.
